Apple released iOS 14.3 developer beta 3. Now, by thetime you're watching this video, public beta three could beout, but this particular beta, depending on how you installed it, if you updated from beta to camein at 211.2 megabytes on my iPhone, 12 pro and installing without abeta pre-installed it came in at 4.4, two gigabytes on my iPhone, 12 promax. And so I want to use it regularly. Day-to-day now this particular beta, we'll talk about what'snew in it in just a moment. But along with this Apple alsoreleased a bunch of other betas. So iPad S 14.3 beta three, which I have on my 2020iPad pro it's right here. They also released watchOS7.2 beta three and T V O S 14.3, beta three. No, they havenot released any Mac OS update yet, hopefully soon in the future. Now let's take a look at the buildnumber and talk about what's new. So we'll go to settings, thenwe'll go to general than about, and you can see that thisbuild number is 18C5061a and the A means we're gettingcloser to a final build. And if you watch my videofrom a couple of days ago, I thought Apple would come out with abeta this week and potentially the final next week. I'll talk moreabout that a little bit later.
So if I take a raw photo, for example, you can tell that it's raw becauseit will say RAW in the upper left. So it says RAW right there. And then you can go in and edit it withyour favorite editor and get a lot more out of it. If you want tochange it up a little bit. So if you want to change the exposure, you'll just retain moredata if you have that. So that's the major thingin this update. Now, as far as other things withiOS 14.2 Apple actually added 1080P support to iPhone8 models and later, so if you have an iPhone 8, unfortunately not an iPhone6S plus like I have here, but an iPhone 8 you'll have 1080PFaceTime. So you'll have that in 14.2. And of course that will carry overto this version once it's out. Now, there's a couple of things. People were wondering if this fixes withthis particular update. So for example, 5g dual SIM, meaning you can use 5g from twodifferent carriers at the same time. That is not in this update.It's already been confirmed. And I don't know that that'sever going to be in an iPhone 12, because I think that's more of a physicalhardware limitation as opposed to software. So that's unfortunateif you use dual Sims. Also the major thing is thenotification bug and people have said, it's not fixed yet. Ifyou're getting notifications, whether that be throughmessages or anything else, they don't seem to be comingin properly for anyone, whether they're popping up on your screen.It just seems to be a problem. Now, since this is hitting everyone at thesame time, including iOS 14.2 and 14.3, it makes me wonder if it's somethingon the server side as well, but we'll have to wait and see. HopefullyApple will patch that very quickly. Now, of course, the green tint option, if your phone is dark and you'reusing an iPhone, iPhone 12 series, some people are still having thatissue, whether or not it's on this. I was never able to reproduce it onthe iPhone 12 series that I have, but let me know in the comments belowif you're able to. So other than that, Apple did list one known issue basicallyfor developers and they've resolved three issues. So forexample, iPad OSTP 14.3, a beta three now supportsshared iPad mode in beta two. They warned not to use that. Nowyou can use that in this update. Other than that, there's no changes toiPad, OAS or iOS at all that I can find. But again, nothing was mentioned about wifinotifications, the green tin issue. That doesn't mean it's notfixed in these updates, but they haven't mentionedit specifically yet. So hopefully we'll see that in thefuture. Now, as far as anything else, well, it seems to perform really well. People online are saying performanceseems to be really solid. I'll go into my library here.You'll see it's nice and fast. And let me switch overto the iPhone 6S plus, since it's the oldest phonehere and if we scroll through, so the first time I've openedsettings, we'll open music, let it load will open the camera.It seems to be nice and fast. If we take a photo, it performs like you would expect andhopefully better than you would expect, actually at this point, because Apple did get in a little bit oftrouble for older phones slowing down. So it seems like they're going to continuekeeping older phones performing well, this could be the last update,meaning iOS 14 or the last version, rather not the last update forthe iPhone six S series phones. So iOS 14 updates will continue to it. Many people are saying iOS15 will not.
So either way, it seems very fast given that it'ssuch an old phone at this point, but performance seems to be solid. And I've been using iOS 14.3beta two or iPad iOS 14.3 beta 2 full-time on my iPadpro and it's performed fine. My major issue is with the battery. So I'll take a look at the battery hereand then we'll look at the other phones, but my battery on iOS 14.2 betatwo was not great on the iPad. So if I go to my battery here,we'll wait for it to load. It seems like it was draining super fast. So yesterday I use this for almosttwo hours, one hour and 53 minutes, one hour and 31 minutes of screenoff time. I'm not sure why, because I didn't play music oranything like that, but you'll see, it was last charged to a hundredpercent at 12, 12:00 AM last night. So I got a couple hoursbefore the previous charge. I'm getting about five or six hoursof screen on time with the iPad pro it should get closer to 10or 11. It's really bad. And I've had a few otherpeople say the same thing. Hopefully this update fixes it, but it takes a few days toknow what battery life is like. So if we go into my iPhone, I've been running iOS14.2 0.1 on the iPhone, 12 pro max. And so if we go into mybattery here, battery has been okay, it's been getting me through theday, but I don't think it's accurate. So yesterday you'll see it used about50% of my battery with three hours and 51 minutes of screen on time,22 minutes of screen off time.
